Image

Description :

Academics from CIVIS member universities are invited to engage in transnational cooperation with their peers and elaborate innovative Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) proposals to take place in the academic year 2027/ 2028. This new call builds on the foundations laid over the past years, with more than 250 implemented BIPs and thousands of participating students.

Every BIP - developed, organised and taught by academics from at least three or more CIVIS member universities - combines online teaching with a short period of physical mobility, an innovative format which opens up opportunities for international study. An ambitious educational program that allows you to make links with your research and raise visibility to your faculty, laboratory, institute, territory, partnerships.

Application deadline: 26 Nov 2026

Special conditions for the CIVIS Associate Member Universities (UH2C, UCAD, Wits, MAK, UEM, USF); see also the special information in the Call:
In principle, academics from these African universities can normally apply together with European colleagues for a BIP and, if successful, participate as lecturers/co-convenors in a BIP hosted at a European CIVIS university. Students from Associate Member Universities can also participate in BIP. The funding of lecturers/students is dependent on the availability of E+ ICM funding at the European host university. 50+ CIVIS BIP with lecturers and/or students from Africa were successfully organised in the past already.
In principle, a BIP can also be hosted at an Associate Member university under special conditions. Two BIP took thus place at Wits (2025) and MAK (2026).
