Survey - Visa problems in African-European academic mobility

We kindly invite you to disseminate the following two surveys produced by GPO and designed to:

  • explore the extent and nature of the 'visa problem' that limits academic mobility between Europe and Africa
  • investigate how to address the situation at the institutional, national, and European (EU) level

There are French, English and Portuguese version of the surveys.

  1. One survey addresses academics (lecturer/researcher/professor) and students (including PhD candidates) from African countries, who applied for visa in the past to go to a European country for an academic purpose.
  2. The other addresses persons from African and European Universities responsible for managing or implementing mobilities of students, academics, or university (Higher Education Institutions) staff from African countries to Europe on a regular basis.

You can also find here a proposal of message to disseminate to the right audience to help increase the response rate.
